There are a number of ways you can customise your page and make it personal to your style or your business or have two membership account, one personal and one business (You need two email addresses).
A good example is
Michael Goebel (click to view), who has changed his background, added music which starts up on entering his page, added videos, blogs and photos.
You can set your page so that the public can view it , this includes anyone browsing the site, or people you give your URL to (you can send anyone directly to your page via the URL). YOu can also set your page so that only your friends can view it.
If you add your web address in your profile set up, people can click it to be redirected to your website. This is the same for Facebook and twitter.
You can also update facebook and twitter with anything you do on this site easily.
You can move around all the item boxes by dragging them from the title bar, eg blogs, text, profile, gifts.
You can give gifts to others. There are several free gifts, and the gifts for purchase cost about $2 (just under for 75 credits and just over for 100 credits)
You can add other apps, hundreds to chose from.
You can do all this by clicking on your manage tab under your profile picture.
You can also retain web links that you have found interesting by flinking it (app is on front page and on "interest" menu). It will keep track of all the links you have personally set up and arrange any links other people have added by date or popularity etc.
