Joining is free and allows you to contribute your own content to the site and to newsletter, have your own profile page to post your events and activities, connect to members by email, writing on their walls, contributing to discussions and noticeboards, joining interest groups and chatting online.
You can chose which content you get emailed to you and set your security settings so that you have control over who can see your content. The site even stores your favourite websites and allows you to share them with other members if you wish.
